After 10 very special years and with heartfelt gratitude, we find ourselves bidding farewell to you, our South Street Linen community. After much deliberation, and no small amount of heartache, we are announcing the closing of South Street Linen. Our last day will be Friday, February 26th.
It all began when three painter friends Mary Ruth Hedstrom, Lynn Krauss and Jane Ryan had an idea to create hand dyed, hand printed and home sewn linen scarves. Linen fabric was the unifying factor. That success quickly grew to become South Street Linen, offering unique scarves and clothing to suit and flatter women of all ages and sizes.
The SSL community blossomed around the country and internationally, leading to lasting friendships we will forever be grateful for. You have sustained and inspired us throughout our 10 years of being a small business. 10 Years! The experience of creating and nurturing a business has been a gift. We could not have done it without you. We will miss your enthusiasm and your many stories that may have started only with a need for an article of clothing.
We want to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to our talented sewers who created your shirts, pants, dresses and jackets. They have been an important part of our shop family and overall success. Thank you!
Finally, we have had the privilege of working with a dedicated group of women who have energized and informed us daily. We conquered many growth challenges together, created unique and beautiful clothing all while having lots of fun and laughs. We are thankful to have been part of their lives and appreciate all they have contributed to South Street's success.
With an abundance of gratitude,
Mary Ruth, Lynn, Jane
